Journalist Rana Ayyub in response to cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s “IndiaAgainstPropaganda” tweet, tweeted that Sachin Tendulkar is not her hero.
Now an alleged tweet, posted by Tendulkar, replying to Ayyub, is being widely shared on social media.
“Yes, I’m not your Hero Because I’m Indians’ Hero,” the tweet attributed to Sachin Tendulkar reads.
A Facebook post read, “I bow down to you Sachin sir. What a reply”

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found it to be false.
We got our first clue when we looked at the username of the Twitter account in the picture. The picture showed that the tweet was shared under the name of Sachin Tendulkar with the username @Sachin_rts_.
However, Tendulkar’s official Twitter account is @sachin_rt.
Then we scanned Sachin’s Twitter account (@sachin_rt) and searched for the tweet in question but no such message was shared on his official Twitter page on or after February 14, 2021, when Ayyub posted the tweet.
Additionally, we checked Ayyub’s tweet on Tendulkar and did not find any reply from the him.
We then ran a search on Twitter to check if an account by the username @sachin_rts_ exists on Twitter, but could not find anything.
Hence, from the above information, it is clear that the tweet which is being circulated is not posted by Sachin Tendulkar and is being shared with false claims.
