The Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, in association with nine IIMs of the country, has launched the Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship.
Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of about Rs 50,000 during the first year and Rs 60,000 during the second year of the programme. The centre has invited applications from interested candidates and the registrations will remain open between February 15 and March 27, as per a report by The Indian Express.

The fellowship is being offered under the SANKALP programme and will have two stages. In the first stage, the fellows will receive training from the nine top IIMs of India and in the second phase, the fellows will work on strengthening the District Skill Committees and the District Skill administration.
The fellows will receive training to understand the overall skill development ecosystem. Once they complete their training, the fellows will be attached to the District Skill Committees and will help in the formulation of the District Skill Development Plans.
