The Hollywood Sign Was Changed to ‘Hollyboob’ For Breast Cancer Awareness and Internet Fully Approves
One of the most prominent things about Hollywood is the landmark Hollywood sign in Los Angeles was made to read as ‘Hollyboob’ by some, ahead of cancer awareness day.
What may be called vandalism, turned out to be a stint to spread awareness for breast cancer. The American cultural icon located in Los Angeles was reportedly vandalised on Monday and six were detained for doing it.
The group of five men and one woman illegally changed the letter ‘W’ and ‘D’ to ‘B’ in the word Hollywood. The photos of the incident went viral on social media.
In the viral photos, the letter “W” has been replaced by a tarp reading “B” while the “D” has a tiny dash to make it seem like another “B”.

As per local media reports, the incident came to notice after Los Angeles Police Department security personnel observed five men and one woman on surveillance tape at around 1:15 pm following which a police helicopter was alerted and the miscreants were tracked down and arrested.
Police released all six as it was understood that they did not damage the iconic sign, but recreated the letters to project Wood as Boob.
All the six were charged with misdemeanour trespassing and released, the act wasn’t vandalism since the sign wasn’t damaged, said LAPD Captain and the Hollywood area commander, Steve Lurie.
The act was not appreciated by the administration, however twitteratis across the world came out and showed their full support to the act, they appreciated the unique message that was sent out to spread awareness about breast cancer.
