China Warns US: Don’t Politicize WHO Virus Probe

Beijing on Thursday has said that the World Health Organization(WHO) should be allowed to work free of political interference hinting at the White House. This comes as team of WHO is closely monitoring the developments on the origin of the coronavirus a year ago, which has created the global pandemic and resulted in a millions of deaths globally.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Zhao Lijan said that they hope the US can “respect facts and science, respect the hard work of the WHO international… expert team.” And be allowed to work “free of political interefence.”

The WHO team which arrived on January 14th was under quarantine in Wuhan is set to begin a probe which will be heavily scrutinized as the US has demanded a clear and robust investigation. A wet market in Wuhan is said to be the origin of the coronavirus.
