Fact Check: Picture of Hollywood actress falsely shared as Sonia Gandhi

A black and white picture of a lady in a bikini is being circulated online with the claim that is it Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

“देखो कांग्रेसियो अपनी राजमाता को” the caption read.

FACT CHECK 

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post and found the claim to be false.

We ran the picture through Google Reverse Image Search and found it to be of the actress Ursula Andress from the Bond movie series.

We came across an IB Times article from 2014 that shows the same image under ‘behind-the-scenes shots from the movie Dr. No, which stars Sean Connery and Ursula Andress’.

Hence, the lady in the image is not Sonia Gandhi but Swiss actress Ursula Andress and the claim made in the post is fake.
