FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim and found it to be FAKE.

Bhadohi Police and PIB Uttar Pradesh posted a video of the woman who committed the horrific crime in which she described that she took the harsh step of throwing her children in a river after an argument with her husband.

“Manju Devi has not drowned her 05 children in the Ganges river due to hunger. The incident has been carried out by another cause. It is clear from Manju Devi’s statement that children have not been drowned in the river due to hunger,” police explained in the tweet.

In conclusion, the above information proves that the incident is not related to the lockdown due to COVID-19.
