FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found the claim to be false.

On taking out the keyframes of the video and putting it through Reverse Image Search, we found the man in the video has been identified as Alexander P.

According to an article in Metro, the video was taken in a hospital in the city of Aktobe, Kazakhstan. Aktobe is around 1,600 miles from Tuva’s regional capital of Kyzyl.

Earlier, the same video was shared with a claim that the man was mauled by a bear. An article published in The Sun on June 16, 2019, states that he was admitted to hospital in June 2019 and he is suffering from psoriasis.

Psoriasis is a condition that causes red and crusty patches with silvery scales to flare-up on the skin.

“He neglected his psoriasis, and in such a state he was brought to us. Now his mother has taken him away, ” The Sun quoted Dr. Rustam Isaev as saying. He also told The Sun that the mother of the patient was upset with all the false news.

The above information proves that the claims of the man being a yogi from Tamil Nadu is fake.
