LinkedIn Shakeup: Jeff Weiner steps down as CEO after 11 years

Jeff Weiner who is the CEO of LinkedIn for the past 11 years will step down on June 1, 2020, as he will now take over as executive chairman.

Ryan Roslansky, who is currently the head of product team will become the new CEO and Tomer Cohen, who had been under Roslansky, will lead the product team.

This move is one of the company’s biggest shakeup since LinkedIn was acquired by Microsoft in 2016.

In a blog post, Weiner said that LinkedIn was his “dream job” and that he’s moving on to the next “dream job” as executive chairman.

His tenure at LinkedIn helped the country reach new heights where it doubled down on diversifying its revenues into advertising and subscriptions to its premium businesses.
