“As a precautionary measure recently, Delhi Metro had to close the gates of a few Metro stations this week. The safety of our passengers and the security of Metro property is paramount to us and we have to ensure the same as per the advice given by the authorities.

Although the stations were soon re-opened and interchange facilities were kept open all the time, we would like to thank our passengers for their full cooperation in this unforeseen scenario.

It may be appreciated that, Delhi Metro operates on a network of 389 kilometres with 285 stations. On Sunday, even though we had to close a few stations on the advice of authorities, around 95 percent of the Delhi Metro network operated without any inconvenience.”, the notice read.
