A picture of a post is being shared online that claims that Ladli Foundation will support poor families for the marriage of their daughters and also gift the bride household items worth Rs. 1 lakh to start her family life.

We scanned through the social media pages of Ladli Foundation Trust and found a post, dated December 3, 2015. According to the post, the original message by the foundation was edited and this misleading information was shared by some people.
The post also suggests that in an event of a mass marriage ceremony, organised by the foundation on November 29, 2015, 51 girls of different religions were married and were gifted with household items.

I want to inform everyone about the message related to the Ladli Foundation that has been mis-edited by a WhatsApp group and was then circulated to millions of people across the country, due to which we are receiving huge amount of calls from all over the country. It is impossible for us to answer all calls. Therefore those numbers have been closed.
A mass marriage of 51 disabled girls was organized by the Ladli Foundation on 29 November 2015 at Chhatarpur temple ground in Delhi. In which Hindus, Muslims and poor girls of all other religions were married. In that event, each daughter was gifted almost the entire contents of the house.
The Ladli Foundation only provides household items and other support to poor daughters in its mass marriage program, apart from this, no other help is provided independently.
