FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the above picture, we found it to be FAKE.

We scanned the official Twitter handle of Tharoor and found the original picture he posted on November 26th, 2019.

It is clear in the above FAKE vs REAL collage, ‘of Wife’ was written on the banner using Photoshop software as there is nothing written in that particular part of the banner in the original picture.

The picture was clicked when the Congress leaders had staged a protest against the government outside Parliament on 70th Constitution Day on November 26th.

In another picture from the protest, we can see that the banner actually read: “STOP MURDER OF DEMOCRACY”.

In conclusion, the above information proves that the viral picture is not real.
