I spoke about the heritage of Tamil in the US: PM Modi in Chennai

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said when he spoke in Tamil in his recently concluded US tour, he spoke about the heritage of the language and it is reverberating across US.

Addressing the cadres at the Chennai airport before heading to IIT-Madras campus, he said: “When I spoke in Tamil in USA and I spoke about the heritage of the Tami language it was received well and it is reverberating across USA.”

PM Modi also said the world has great expectations from India. “During my (just concluded) US tour I saw the world has great expectations from India, which is growing… we will certainly ensure the welfare of India, and swiftly, but we will make it such a great nation that it will be useful for the world,” he said.

At the IIT-Madras campus, PM Modi addressed participants of the Singapore India Hackathon, 2019 which concluded on Sunday.

“Friends you have been working for the last 36 hours to solve challenging problems. Hats off to you & your energy & I don’t see fatigue. I see satisfaction of a task well accomplished,” PM Modi said.

“I genuinely believe that technology and business unites people, even across continents,” he added.
