FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the post, we found it to be FAKE.

We ran a simple Google search with keywords ‘EC Achal Kumar Jyoti on EVM tampering’, we did not find any news report on this.

We also found a report dated 2017 where the poll panel consisting of Achal Kumar Jyoti amongst other clarified that “Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) are robust and tamper-proof and even the manufacturers cannot manipulate them at the time of production. ”

Achal Kumar Jyoti is a retired 1975 IAS officer of Gujarat cadre. He has also served in key positions for both Gujarat and Union Governments and has also served as one of the Election Commissioners in the Election Commission of India before his appointment as the Chief Election Commissioner.

In an interview with NewsMobile, former CEC S. Y. Quraishi said that the chips of EVM are manufactured in the USA or Japan. Check 5:06 minutes of the video to know how EVMs are deployed and if tampering is possible.

The above information proves that the claims made in the post are FAKE.
