WATCH: Courageous woman catches bike borne chain snatchers as they try to run away

New Delhi: A woman and her daughter caught one of two bikers who snatched a gold chain from them and thrashed him in Delhi, in an incident caught on camera.

A CCTV clip from a road in Nangloi in west Delhi showed that the woman was about to cross with her daughter when the bikers suddenly came and ripped off her necklace. The mother-daughter pair immediately grabbed hold of the snatcher and didn’t let go until both the men fell on the road along with the bike. One of them managed to escape. As the women beat the other man, a crowd gathered and began kicking and thrashing him too.

The incident took place on Friday, August 30. While one of the accused was arrested on the spot, the other was caught by the police later.

The police identified the accused men as Abdul Shamshad and Vikas Jain.

An investigation revealed that they were involved in a large number of criminal cases. They have earlier stolen two gold chains, three motorcycles and two mobile phones, the police said in a statement.
