Dangal director Nitesh Kumar wants you to gear up for some Chhichhora panti this Friday

Date:

This Friday i.e September 6th, Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari brings to us his ambitious project “ Chhichhore “ under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandsons.

Written by Nitesh himself along with Piyush Gupta and Nikhil Malhotra, Chichhore is a story of seven friends from their college life till the present day. It focuses a lot on their hostel life and the main characters are inspired by real-life hostel mates from Nitesh’s college days.

Nitesh who is an IIT Mumbai alumni had been wanting to pen this story for years.

The movie stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Prateik Babbar among others.

Trailers do look interesting. Sushant has been a bankable star who has always delivered as an actor. And the rest of the male cast looks promising too. While Shraddha seems to be the only question mark in the cast, I do hope the director and producer’s confidence in her proves true.

Since the focus is a lot on college fun, as much as there are expectations, there are bound to be comparisons as well. One cant help but reminisce the iconic 3 Idiots with its superb portrayal of hostel life and camaraderie.

While Nitesh has a lot riding on his shoulders after the mightily successful and acclaimed Dangal, it remains to be seen if he would be able to recreate the magic second time over.

We, as the audience, keep our fingers crossed.
