WATCH: Here’s what went behind Modi, Grylls’ jungle safari

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon be seen on Bear Grylls’ show Man vs Wild. In a new clip released by Discovery, PM Modi talks about conservation of nature, his time in the Himalayas, cleanliness drive in India among many other things.

In an exclusive sneak peek PM Narendra Modi is seen saying: “I believe we should not consider this danger. If we struggle with nature then everything turns dangerous, even man.”

The two then walk in the wild and Bear shows Modi how to use the weapon if they come face-to-face with a tiger, to which, Modi says, “My upbringing and sacraments won’t allow me to kill the tiger but nevertheless, I will keep this weapon in my hand for you.”

In the clip, PM Modi also brings up Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan. Modi says, “Someone from outside cannot clean my India, the people of India make India clean. Personal hygiene is in the culture of the Indian people. We need to develop the habit of social hygiene. Mahatma Gandhi has done a lot of work on it and recently we are getting good success in this. I believe India will succeed in this very soon.”

The episode premieres on August 12.
