Fact Checked: These women are not celebrating the passage of ‘Triple Talaq Bill’ in RS

A video has gone viral on social media in which a group of women in hijab can be seen dancing. According to the caption of the video, it has been claimed that the women in the video were celebrating the passage of Triple Talaq Bill in the Rajya Sabha.

The caption of the video read: “After Rajya Sabha passes bill on #TripleTalaq”

At the time of filing this report, the above video was shared by over 5,200 Facebook users.

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the above video, we found that the claim attached to the video is FAKE.

On putting the keyframes of the video through Reverse Image Search, we found that the viral video is old.

We came across the same video uploaded on dailymotion website four years ago.

The Triple Talaq bill was passed in Rajya Sabha on July 30th, 2019. However, the viral video has been on the internet at least for four years now.

Hence, the above information proves that the claim attached with the viral video is FAKE.
