Fact Checked: Cricketer in the picture shared by Pak PM’s aide is not Imran Khan

A major goof-up has appeared on Naeem ul Haque’s Twitter account. Haque- special assistant to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan – posted Sachin Tendulkar’s photo on Saturday and captioned it as ‘PM Imran Khan 1969’.

In his tweet, Naeem ul Haque has shared a black and white photo in which a batsman can be seen. Naeem captioned the picture as – PM Imran Khan 1969.

As soon as Haque posted the photo, Twitter broke out with hilarious comments and memes. The tweet garnered over 35,000 likes, retweeted over 7,400 times and more than 4,500 people commented on it.

Team NewsMobile found this photo in the photo gallery of mid-day.com with the caption “Sachin Tendulkar is the youngest player to enter the Ranji team at 14 years”.

Hence, the claim attached to the picture above is FAKE.
