No! The man performing Yoga is not Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

Date:

After the world celebrated International Yoga Day with vigour on Friday, a photo has surfaced on the internet where a person can be seen performing Sirsasana on a buffalo.

The claim attached to the picture is that the person in the photo is Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal performing Yoga on International Yoga Day.

The caption of the picture read: “अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस के मौके पर योगाभ्यास करते दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री केजरीवाल साहब😃😃😃😄”

(Translate- Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal performing yoga on the occasion of International Yoga Day😃😃😃😄)

FACT CHECK

When the fact checkers at NewsMobile did a fact-check, we found that while the picture is genuine, the claim is fake.

On putting the picture through reverse image search we found an article dated June 22, 2017, in which it is mentioned that the person in the picture is a farmer’s son.

Hence, it proves that the person in the video is not Arvind Kejriwal and the claim is fake.
