Fact Checked: These people are not celebrating PM Modi’s victory in the USA

After BJP’s thumping victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha Election, a video went viral on social media in which people can be seen celebrating. The claim attached to the picture is that the people are celebrating Modi’s victory in the US.

The caption of the video read: “Modi’s victory celebration in U. S. ”

FACT CHECK

When the team of fact-checkers at NewsMobile did a fact check on the video, we found that the video is authentic but the claim is FAKE.

On putting screengrabs of the video through Reverse Image Search, we found the original video on Youtube.

The video was uploaded on  October 16, 2018, by ‘Swargandhar dhol tasha pathak’ on their YouTube Channel. The description of the video read: “Dhol Tasha on the streets of Spain (2) – Swargandhar Dhol Tasha Pathak”

Hence, it proves that the claim attached to the video is FAKE.
