With BMC Commissioner Ajoy Mehta being appointed as Maharashtra’s new Chief Secretary, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has appointed Praveen Pardeshi as the new BMC chief.
He took charge as the BMC commissioner on Monday, with Ajoy Mehta welcoming him to the office.

Pardeshi, who is the additional chief secretary to the Chief Minister, has earlier served in various departments of the Indian Administrative services, including the Revenue Department and the Forest Department.
Pardeshi is a 1985-batch IAS officer. He holds a masters degree in social and economic policy.
