Lok Sabha polls Phase 6: Key candidates and constituencies

Date:

A total of 59 parliamentary constituencies across six states and one Union Territory will witness polling in phase 6 of the ongoing 2019 Lok Sabha election on May 12.

Also, the Election Commission declared polling across 168 booths of Tripura West parliamentary constituency as ‘void’ and ordered re-polling on May 12.

The poll watchdog also ordered re-polling for polling station no-10 of Kamaraj Nagar assembly segment of the Puducherry Parliamentary constituency on May 12 for the same reason. Counting of votes will take place on 23 May.

States going to polls:

Bihar (8), Jharkhand (4), Madhya Pradesh (8), Uttar Pradesh (14), West Bengal (8), Haryana (10), and Delhi (7)

979 candidates are contesting in this phase out of which 189 have criminal records.

Gurgaon, Bhopal, Bankura, Sultanpur, Dhanbad, East Delhi, North East Delhi
