In the picture, the IAF pilot is appealing to people to keep him in mind while casting their vote. The post further says that he would not have been here had it not been for PM Modi.

When we fact-checked the post, we found out that the post is fake.
Wing-commander Abhinandan Varthaman never made any such appeals to the public.
In fact, according to Election Commission guidelines, government employees need to remain impartial and should also be seen independent, neutral and impartial all matters relating to the elections and that they should treat all parties and candidates equally, fairly and justly.
This proves that the above post is fake and should not be shared.
