Date:

Nishad Party leader and Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) MP Praveen Nishad joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday. Nishad Party will support the BJP in Uttar Pradesh in upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2019, reported ANI.

It may be recalled that Ram Bhuwal Nishad, Samajwadi Party’s candidate from Gorakhpur Lok Sabha seat recently alleged ”Nishad Party chief, Sanjay Nishad took Rs 50 crore from BJP to become a part of the party.”

”There was a deal. Nishad Party chief, Sanjay Nishad took Rs 50 crore from BJP to become a part of the party. He had a deal with Yogi ji,” ANI quoted Ram Bhuwal Nishad, as saying.

It is pertinent to mention here that Nishad Party recently sprang a surprise by parting ways with the SP-BSP-RLD alliance and met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The Samajwadi Party had announced Ram Bhuwal Nishad as its candidate from the prestigious Gorakhpur seat in Uttar Pradesh.

Ram Bhuwal Nishan will be the nominee from Gorakhpur, a Samajwadi Party release said. Ram Bhuwal Nishad had been two-time MLA from Kaudiram assembly seat, now Gorakhpur rural, and had also been the fisheries minister during BSP chief Mayawati’s government in 2007. The SP also announced that Ram Kumar will be its nominee on the Kanpur seat.
