From ‘chaiwala’ to the PM of India, PM Narendra Modi trailer embarks upon his journey

The trailer of PM Modi’s biopic, starring Vivek Oberoi is finally here. The biopic, directed by Omung Kumar, shows Vivek Oberoi in various looks.

From being a ‘chaiwala’ to the Prime Minister of India, it shows how PM Modi rose from nothing and became one of the most powerful political leaders of the world.

In the trailer, Modi is shown rescuing Muslims during the communal riots in Gujarat to  personally supervising the response to the attack on the Akshardham temple in 2002.

The trailer ends with an angry Vivek as PM Modi warning Pakistan, “Chetawani deta hu mein Pakistan ko, agar dobara hum par haath uthaya, to haath kaat dunga. Tumne hamara balidan dekha hai, ab badla bhi dekhoge.”

Talking about the role, the actor said, “I consider Modiji as an inspiration. Modiji is one of those personalities… if he decides something, if he is clear with his vision, he doesn’t fear to achieve his goal. It is very inspirational.”

National Award-winning filmmaker Omung Kumar, who is directing the movie, had previously directed biopic like ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Sarbjit’. The film showcasing the journey of the Prime Minister is expected to be released on April 5.

Besides Vivek, the film also stars Suresh Oberoi, Barkha Sengupta, Prashant Narayanan, Darshan Kumar, Boman Irani, Zarina Wahab, Manoj Joshi, Anjan Shrivastav, Karan Patel and Akshat R Saluja.
