IndvsAus: Men in Blue beat Aussies in a thriller, take 2–0 series lead

In a thrilling match in Nagpur on Tuesday, The Men in Blue thrashed the Aussies and took a 2-0 lead in the ongoing T20 series.

Chasing a target of 251 runs, the visitors were dismissed for 242 runs in 49.3 overs. Asked to bat first, the hosts were bowled out for 250 runs in 48.2 overs. Despite Kohli’s century and a disciplined innings from Vijay Shankar, most Indian batsmen failed to rise to the occasion.

The innings approaching the end, acceleration was required but Ravindra Jadeja could only manage 21 off 40 balls and was soon removed by Cummins. Kohli was finally dismissed while trying to pull Pat Cummins.

Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah too perished in a jiffy and India could not even bat for full 50 overs.

As is the case usually, Kohli was the leading man for India with the bat, becoming the second man to scale the ascent of 40 ODI tons.

With the win, India took a 2-0 lead in the five match ODI series, with the next match to be played at Ranchi on Friday.
