Jaish leadership neutralised within 100 hours of Pulwama attack: Army

Srinagar: A day after 16-hour-long operation in which three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama in which four soldiers and a Kashmir police constable were also martyred, Lieutenant General KJS Dhillon on Tuesday informed that in less than 100 hours of Pulwama terrorist attack, the Indian Army has eliminated Jaish-e-Mohammed leadership in Jammu and Kashmir.

“I would like to inform that in less than 100 hours of Pulwama terrorist attack, we eliminated have JeM leadership in the valley which was being handled by JeM from Pakistan,” Dhillon said.

“We were tracking the Jaish-e-Mohammed leadership. We are happy to inform that we eliminated the Jaish leadership in the Valley, which was controlled by Pakistan,” he added.

He further added that the terror group’s leadership in the valley was being handled from Pakistan. “We request all mothers, make your sons who have taken up arms surrender. Anyone who has picked up the gun in Kashmir will be eliminated, unless they surrender,” Lieutenant General asserted.

The four soldiers killed in the operation included Major Vibhuti Shankar Dhoundiyal, 34. The others were Sepoy Hari Singh, 27, Havaldar Sheo Ram, 37, and Sepoy Ajay Kumar, 27. Head Constable Abdul Rashid Kalas died of his wounds later.
