Prayagraj: Ahead of 50-days of large-scale Hindu pilgrimage, Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday hosted diplomats of over 71 countries at Prayagraj to witness Kumbh Mela’s massive preparations which are underway for UNESCO inscribed ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity’ festival of peace & harmony.
After paying prayers at the river bank of Ganga, diplomats of 71 took a stalk of the preparations of the Kumbh Mela which is scheduled to start from January 15 for 50 days.

The aim of the diplomatic visit to Prayagraj is to attract people from across the globe to the Kumbh Mela.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday will launch the development work of Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. PM Modi will release development works worth Rs 3500 crore for Kumbh Mela area.
