The current generation of Jeep Grand Cherokee has been a runaway success since its release for the 2011 model year. The new plant which is to be opened in Detroit, will be producing the new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles intends to open an assembly plant in Detroit to produce SUVs and according to media reports, FCA will convert its former Mack Avenue Engine plant into a new vehicle-manufacturing facility for the 2021 Grand Cherokee.

Despite being offered with three rows of seating, it will no longer be considered the flagship SUV for the Jeep as this space will be taken by the upcoming Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.
For the first time since the car went on sale, the new Grand Cherokee will be offered with three rows of seating and though Jeep hasn’t said much about the new SUV, FCA’s latest five-year plan has revealed that the next-generation Grand Cherokee will have autonomous driving technology and a plug-in hybrid powertrain on offer.
The current Jeep Grand Cherokee carries an initial pricetag of Rs 75.15 lakh for the base variant and costs Rs 1.14 crore for the SRT version (all prices, ex-showroom New Delhi).
The-top-of -the line SRT version is powered by a 6.4-litre HEMI V8, which churns out 475hp and 637Nm of torque.
