Two Ferraris blended for this unique V12 powered roadster

Date:

Ferrari delivered its latest one-off project, the SP3JC, with the chassis and running gear of the F12tdf and the 812 Superfast.

Designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre, the SP3JC was commissioned by a Ferrari client and collector whose specifications led to the birth of a pure roadster. Built over two years, the SP3JC is inspired by the V12- engined spiders of the 1950s and ’60s.

The SP3JC features dynamic sculpturing and the flanks are designed to lay emphasis on the front-engine layout with a distinctive air intake outline at the front. the front bumper incorporates the elements of 812 Superfast. The rear of the car is designed with horizontal slashes contributing the the dramatic wider stance of the car. The roadster is dressed in a sporty combination of the Azzurro Met and Giallo Modena livery over the main Bianco Italia colour scheme.

The Ferrari SP3JC is finely detailed with features such as the split glass inserts on the bonnet that gives a look at the engine, the flying bridge between the fairings of the carbon-fibre roll hoops and a brushed aluminium external fuel filler cap. The seats are handsomely draped in blue leather with a white insert. The blue colour is chosen in the contrast to the stitching on the rest of the interior trim.

The SP3JC derives power from the same powertrain as on the F12tdf, as it houses a 6.3-litre V12 under its hood, churning out 770 bhp and 770 Nm of peak torque. This is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox which power the wheels. The F12tdf goes from 0-100 kmph in 2.9 seconds with that powertrain, but the SP3JC is expected to do the run in about 3.2 – 3.3 seconds, owing to the open- top.
