The stock markets on Wednesday ended on a positive note with the Nifty closing above 10,200, and Sensex settling above the 34,000 mark. Indices of all sectors ended in the green, with infrastructure and metals ending the day at high points.
The Sensex ended at 34,033.96, gaining 186.73 points, while the Nifty was up 77.95 points at 10,224.75.

The rupee strengthened against the US dollar in the forex market to hit a three-week high of 73.10, helped by a sharp fall in global crude oil prices overnight. Crude prices fell to $75 per barrel .
