The Election Commission is all set to announce the dates of state polls in four states on Saturday- Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Mizoram. Except Mizoram, all three states are currently ruled by Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Mizoram is a Congress-ruled state.

Poll dates for Telangana assembly, which was dissolved by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in September, may also be announced today.
Parties have already started making up alliances and collisions with other parties for polls like the Congress and the TDP have already announced a tie-up in the state, BSP Chief Mayawati also announced a merger with Congress but later they broke off the ties.

Top political leaders have been criss-crossing the poll-bound states addressing rallies and holding party meetings.
