Noida residents gather for candlelight march against stray dogs

Date:

A candlelight march was taken out in Sector 137 Noida by 200 residents of Ecociti on Wednesday evening against the stray dogs and the nuisance caused by them in that area. The residents of the society wanted to address the menace of the dogs and wanted the authorities to take an action against the issue.

One of the residents of the society said that the idea of conducting a peaceful march was to bring out the issue to the society’s authorities. Over the past few months, the number of stray dogs in the area has increased and it is difficult for children to play outside. Along with kids, even adults cannot peacefully walk in the society premises due to the fear of the dogs.

The dogs also chase the cars and snatch groceries from the residents. After the episodes of the dogs biting the residents were when the march was planned. It was also against the residents who bring these dogs from outside and defend them by putting false allegations on the other residents.
