Indian Bank appoints Padmaja Chunduru as MD&CEO

Indian Bank announced the appointment of Padmaja Chunduru, deputy managing director, State Bank of India, as managing director & chief executive officer in Indian Bank, with effect from the date of assumption of office till attaining the age of superannuation (i.e., 31 August 2021) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

This was announced by the ministry  of finance in a Gazette Notification. “In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 9 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act 1970 read with sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 8 of the Nationalised Banks (Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme 1970, the Central Government, hereby appoints Ms Padmaja Chunduru (DoB: 2.8.1961), Deputy Managing Director, State Bank of India, as Managing Director & Chief Executive
Officer in Indian Bank with effect from the date of assumption of office, or till
attaining the age of superannuation (i.e., 31.8.2021), .or until further orders,
whichever is earlier.”
