Here’s how the Google Home Hub will look like!

Date:

Google has been rumoured to have been developing its own Smart Display for a while and the details are out now.

The new smart display sports a 7-inch screen and will cost $149. This is quite cheap as compared to the 8-inch Lenovo Smart Display which is currently the cheapest option at $199. The 10-inch varietal comes for $249 as does the stereo-speakered JBL Link View.

Google has a strong software for their Smart Displays. It will perform tasks based on voice commands, in addition to touchscreen interface. The Google Home Hub is likely to weigh about 480 grams and it is said to support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi connection as well as Bluetooth.

The device will not have a camera like other Smart Displays as per the reports, which comes across as a bit of a surprise given that the whole point of it was to strengthen its Duo video call service.

The Home Hub aims at offering improvements over Google Home and can be paired with a Nest Cam for enhanced security features using voice commands. It is also compatible with home appliances such as lights, TVs, etc.
