Get marriage certificate, driving license delivered at your doorstep under this new scheme

With an aim to provide government services at your doorsteps, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday launched a ‘home delivery’ scheme of 40 services that includes delivering marriage certificates, driving license and 38 other services.

The Chief Minister launched the services in the presence of Manish Sisodia at the Delhi Secretariat. Kejriwal said it is a “revolutionary change in governance”. Delhi residents can dial 1076 to place a request for the doorstep services which will be provided from 8 AM to 10 PM.

“It is a revolutionary work in governance. Delhiites will now not need to stand in queues in government’s department. “It will save people’s time. Citizens will also not need to pay money to touts to get their work done,” Kejriwal told reporters at the Secretariat.

He appealed to the media to highlight discrepancies in the implementation of the scheme so the government can ratify them in the next 10-15 days. At the event attended by all cabinet ministers and senior officers, Kejriwal said the government is spending Rs 12 crore on the implementation of the doorstep delivery of services.
