A Hurriyat Conference member on Saturday was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the Sopore district of Jammu and Kashmir, the police said. Hakim-ul-Rehman Sultani, the Hurriyat leader was shot by the gunmen at point blank range in Bomai area.

“He was immediately shifted to a hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival”, state reports.
