Date:

Days after pictures of the 2018 Ciaz surfaced the internet, Maruti Suzuki has confirmed the launch date of the upcoming facelift version of its premium sedan.

The 2018 Ciaz facelift will be launched in India on August 21. The car has already created a lot of buzz on social media as it has already been spotted completely undisguised before the launch revealing the updates and new looks.

From the back, it looks largely similar to the existing model. From the sides, the new Ciaz will continue to have multi-spoke alloy wheels.

From inside, reports suggest that this time the new Ciaz gets new light-coloured faux wood inlays. The car also gets a newly designed instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

There has been a significant upgrade under the hood as Ciaz facelift has a new 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 103bhp of maximum power and churns out 138Nm of peak torque.
