This year’s Couture Week will see some known A-listers walking the ramp.
Actors Kangana Ranaut and Aditi Rao Hydari will be the showstoppers for ace designers, Tarun Tahiliani and Anju Modi, on Day 1 of the Fashion Design Council of India’s India Couture Week 2018, which begins today in Delhi. It will conclude on the 29th of July 2018.
Hyped as one of the most anticipated fashion events in the country, top fashion names will present their latest collections here. The 5-day extravaganza will surely be a mecca for the who’s who in the coming days.
Shilpa Shetty, Yami Gautam are some other names who will be walking the ramp. Preparations for the event have been underway for many days now. One of its kind, the couture week isn’t just about apparel but covers jewellery too.
Some of the known designers who will showcase their collection are – Anju Modi, Amit Aggarwal, Rohit Bal, Reynu Taandon, Tarun Tahiliani, Shyamal and Bhumika, Shane and Falguni Peacock, Rahul Mishra, Pallavi Jaikishan and Suneet Varma.
Designer Anju Modi’s collection is inspired by the Victorian era and hence Kangana Ranaut seemed the perfect option. Modi has been keen to present Kangana since she saw her in the movie Rangoon.
On the other hand, classical beauty, Aditi Rao Hydari, will be walking for designer Tarun Tahiliani.
“The shows this season will celebrate the robustness of crafts and the power of subtle nuances that play peek-a-boo in the design world with their pleasing silhouettes. The designers will create a timeless grid of style in this 11th Edition of FDCI India Couture Week,” Sunil Sethi, President FDCI, has been quoted to say to media sources.
