Top things the Underwater Museum of Arts has on offer

The third Underwater Museum of Art (UMA), has opened near the coast of coast of northwest Florida, where incredible art can be viewed after diving under water.

The museum was a result of a collaboration between the alliance’s Art in Public Spaces Program and the South Walton Artificial Reef Association, stated CNN report.

What can be seen there

  • Has some incredible sculptures and marine wildlife. The owners aim to expand the museum by adding at least 10 sculptures every year.
  • Though the entry to the museum is free but the visitors have to pay fee for diving.
  • The museum exhibits seven sculptures submerged 60 feet below ground level
  • Each time aquatic life will be different depending on the season and the life cycle
  • The founders have tried to use clean materials for the sustainability of the environment and water species. The Reef Association ensured that none of the sculptures were made of plastic, or any other pollutants and toxins.

The other two museums are located in Europe and Mexico.

The museum is located off the coast of Grayton Beach State Park in South Walton, Florida. “It’s located about 0.7 miles from the coast of Grayton Beach State Park. The coordinates for the central sculpture — the skull — are Latitude N 30 18.754, Longitude W 86 09.522,” said CNN.
