How about some chicken wings dusted with 24-carat gold?

Date:

24-carat gold is usually synonymous with jewellery till now. However, could you ever imagine eating the same quality of gold as you would wear in your hands, neck or fingers? Yes, we are talking about the chicken wings dusted with 24-carat gold. Now, is this a new trend or just a fad is what one needs to see.

In this recipe, the chicken wings are first brined for 12 hours, coated with the in-house dry rub, which is then baked and flash-fried and finally coasted with 24-carat gold dust. The price of these chicken wings is 10 for $45 and 20 for $90. If you have more people to join you, the choice could be 50 wings and an Ace of Spades champagne bottle for $1000.

Currently served at two locations in Manhattan, Brian Mirza, the founder of the recipe and president of the Paige Hospitality and its chain named The Ainsworth, calls them the most expensive and delicious gold wings in the world.
