Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is all geared up for his next film, ‘Gold’ which is all set to release next year. Producer of the film, Farhan Akhtar took to Twitter on Wednesday to unveil the official poster of the film:

Earlier there were rumours, Gold will be postponed in order to avoid a clash with his movie only- ‘2.0’, but the movie will now release on the date earlier scheduled. ‘Gold’ directed by ‘Talaash’ director Reema Kagti, is set against the backdrop of the 1948 Summer Olympics and it tells the story of India winning its first gold medal in hockey and will hit the silver screen on August 15.
Besides, Akshay Kumar, who will essay the role of a hockey coach, the film also features Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Kumar Singh and Sunny Kaushal. The film has been extensively shot in Yorkshire and the Midlands in England. Television actress Mouni Roy is set to make her Bollywood debut with this movie.
