Amazon’s easy return policy may not be as ‘easy’ now

Date:

The premium shopping website Amazon has started banning users from returning too many items that they purchase online. Another site Amazon Inc is known to stop and block customers from the platform on grounds of certain violations such as returning purchased products frequently, at times without any reason.

According to a report, Amazon has deleted accounts of customers who have a track record of returning and exchanging items too often. The easy and free return policy has been in action for quite some time for e-commerce sites like Amazon, Flipkart and others, although there are certain terms and conditions mentioned in their policy.

One of the conditions states, “the company reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, terminate rights to use Amazon Services, or cancel orders in its sole discretion”. However, nowhere is written that frequent return and exchange would not be entertained for which customers have been frantically going all out on social media to report the issue.

This is, however, not the first time that Amazon did something like this without informing the customers. Earlier as well a similar issue was faced by many Amazon Prime users where their accounts were blocked without giving them a solid reason. The tussle is currently on between the company and the users and all we need to do is wait and watch to see who comes out victorious.
