Ford to launch Freestyle on April 26; expected on roads by early next month

Date:

American auto major, Ford, is all set to officially launch its latest compact SUV Ford Freestyle on April 26.

Though the prices for the Freestyle are yet to be announced, but the bookings for the car have already commenced with deliveries slated to start early next month.

The latest Ford Freestyle looks similar to Figo, albeit with black cladding, a revised grille, bigger ground clearance, new bumpers with bigger fog lamps housings and various other design elements.

The crossover gets a new grille which is more prominent, new bumper and new housing for the fog lamps makes it different from Figo. The front design also gets faux skid plates with added black cladding all around, including the wheel arches. The Freestyle also gets roof rails which can hold up to 50kgs of weight.

The Ford Freestyle will be offered in eight variants. Interiors look identical to the current-gen EcoSport. The Titanium variant of the Freestyle gets the same 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is equipped with Ford’s SYNC3 system, compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

While Ford is offering the Freestyle with a choice of both petrol and diesel engines, we took the new 1.2-litre petrol this time. The new engine is a 3-cylinder engine which pumps out 96bhp and 120Nm of torque.
