Karan Johar reveals Abhishek Bachchan is responsible for ending his love for Holi

It is a well known fact that when it comes to celebrations, Karan Johar leaves no stone unturned in making sure that Bollywood’s finest come together in a big way.

However, when it comes to the festival of Holi, the filmmaker seems to have his reservations. Karan who was on the sets of a reality show recently where they were filming a Holi special episode reportedly revealed that he fears celebrating the festival of colours courtesy Abhishek Bachchan.

Karan Johar fondly recalled an incident when he had visited Amitabh Bachchan’s house as a 10 year old during the festival and told him about his fear. Further narrating the incident, he went on to say that, that was when Abhishek Bachchan picked him up and threw him in a pool of coloured water. The filmmaker revealed that, that was the end of his love for the festival and he hasn’t celebrated Holi ever since. 

Karan also revealed that his fear of the festival had started when he was six or seven years old and some children from his colony ran behind him to put silver colour on him. He said that while trying to save himself from them, he fell down and hurt himself and got into a fight with the other kids.
