Date:

UAE’s Ministry of Health’s Department of Preventive Medicine has revealed an autopsy report of actor Sridevi in a press conference held in Dubai. The report states that she died from “accidental drowning”.

Gulf News states that Sridevi, under the influence of alcohol, lost her balance and fell into the bathtub and died. While Republic TV also confirms that Dubai Police has released the forensic report of Sridevi to her family and the Indian Consulate.

Earlier reports stated that when Sridevi’s body was found it was in a bloated state. And she had not left her hotel room for 2-3 days before she was found. Later, medical aid had been called in and helped pull Sridevi’s body out of the bathtub.

As of this writing, it’s not known at what time the mortal remains of Sridevi will be released to be brought back to India. Anil Ambani has also sent a private jet to bring back her mortal remains. It is expected that the last rites will take place in Mumbai. Several celebrities are expected to be present to attend the last rites of Sridevi.

NewsMobile partner Republic tv reported from Dubai that the probe may be widened and her husband Boney Kapoor and Hotel staffers are likely to be questioned.

In news that had shocked the nation, Sridevi had been found dead in her room on Saturday night in Dubai where she had gone to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding.
