Hyderabad girl commits suicide during video call; boyfriend says ‘saw her hanging’

A second year MBA student Haneesha Chowdary from Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh ended her life during a video call with her boyfriend.

The 24-year-old student was studying at Sivasivani Institute of Management, where she resided at campus hostel. During the wee hours on Monday, Haneesha was having a video call with her boyfriend Dakshit Patel, an argument broke out between the duo over her attending a marriage after which Haneesha had decided to end her life.

Haneesha and Dakshit were in love for a while.

After watching her commit suicide on the video call, Patel rushed to the hostel, broke open her room and took her to the hospital. Haneesha body has been shifted to state-run Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad for a post-mortem.

A case suspicious death has been registered and investigation is currently underway.
