A horrific incident took place on Friday when a resident of Kalyan town, Thane, a 54-year-old man went to buy eggs from a nearby shop and had a quarrel over Re 1. The victim, Manohar Gamne, allegedly paid Re 1 less to the shopkeeper, because of which the shopkeeper started abusing the victim.

The victim and his son later that night returned to the shop and the fight turned into an ugly brawl during which the shopkeeper’s son started punching and kicking the victim due to which he couldn’t succumb his injuries and died later. Sudhkar Prabhu, 45, has been arrested and charged with murder, Narkar said.
