Ever since it was revealed that Tesla Model X will hit the Indian roads in 2019, it has become a rage in the country. The Model X is known to be the safest, quickest and most capable SUV ever which does not even look like one.
The upcoming model is expected to come with a fold-flat seat and the seven-seat configuration. This car is the update to the five-seat Model X last year where the fold-flat feature was introduced.
When the car was introduced, the Model X Design Studio said that the upcoming Tesla Model X which will be launched in 2019 will have a maximise cargo space.
The new design will replace the Model X’s previous “floating” second-row base with a sliding frame mount. Some drivers criticised Tesla’s previous design demanding that they needed the flexibility and increased cargo space from the fold-flat seat design.
However, there is a catch with the new functionality as drivers will have to fork out $3,000 (£2329) to have these seats included.
The description of Model X reads “Maximize passenger and cargo capacity with seating for seven adults.
“Second and third-row seats can fold flat when not in use, creating extra interior cargo space.”
The introduction means that the electric SUV will have a huge capacity and cargo space. The current model now has 88.0 ft cubed cargo space almost city percent more than its sibling the Tesla Model S.
The new model would compete with its rivals such as the Porsche Cayenne, VW Touareg, BMW X5, Audi Q7. However, Its closest rival is the Volvo XC90 which has a 85.7ft cubed cargo space.
Recently, Tesla Model X was praised for being the safest SUV ever after being awarded a perfect five-star rating by the NHTSA, reports Teslarati.

CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, recently revealed that the first customers who ordered the Model 3 would be receiving delivery in July.
The Model 3 was preordered by over 400,000 people.
