Pakistan govt’s involvement in anti-India protests revealed in sting

In a sting operation carried out by Republic TV, Syed Ghulam Nabi Fai, a well known Kashmiri separatist leader, has admitted to having links with Pakistan’s ISI. Fai also admitted to a plan to organize anti-India protest campaigns in Kashmir and the US on the June 26, when PM Narendra Modi is expected to meet US President Donald Trump.

Syed Ghulam Nabi Fai is an American citizen of Kashmiri origin. He had previously been arrested in 2011 for receiving illegal funds for the Kashmiri American Council from Pakistan. The funds were used to lobby in the US Congress to influence American decision makers on the Kashmir issue, serving the interests of the Pakistan government.

The sting revealed details about a planned anti-India protests being organized by the Pakistani government during the India-US bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump.
